A cockatoo is being nursed again to well being in Australia after being shot 5 instances with air weapons.

Mr Cocky, a sulphur-crested cockatoo, was discovered by a member of the general public within the metropolis of Sydney final month and brought to the native Avian Reptile and Unique Pet Hospital.

The hospital says one pellet lodged millimetres from its left eye.

The motive for the assault is unclear, and the hospital is not sure if the one that handed in Mr Cocky had something to do together with his accidents.

“How are you going to even take into consideration capturing an animal that’s simply sitting there?” Dr Crosta informed ABC. “I feel it is very unfair.”
